I have two items to share:

1) The Section Manager election for our Pacific section resulted in no
one elected. In fact, no one petitioned to be on the ballot which would
have gone out last month. As I previously announced, I am not running
for reelection.

Once this situation became apparent that there would be no one as SM,
Heather, AH7RF volunteered to take the post. She was heartily endorsed
by myself and Pacific Division director John NZ6Q. HQ has appointed her
the new Section Manager starting April 1. Heather has my full support
and I look forward to working with her to transition.

2) As previously announced, 2026 is a year where each state gets to
host W1AW locally. In our case it will be as W1AW/KH6. There is a
special WAS250 certificate you can get by contacting W1AW/xxx in each
state. This has already started. This week, MA hosts W1AW/1 and FL hosts
W1AW/4. Next week will be TX and MI.
Our week will be March 18 – 25.
We will have a second week in August.
Guam will be active as W1AW/KH2 March 11. Contact Tim, KH2XX for
details.

The schedule for individual KH6 operating can be seen here:

Please send your island coordinator your preferred operating mode, date,
time slot and they will add you to this schedule. If you are not on this
schedule, you cannot operate as W1AW/KH6. You MUST contact your island
coorinator!

Island coordinators are:
Kauai: Bill W2DK w2dk at yahoo.com
Oahu: Kimo KH7U kimochun at gmail.com
Maui: Alan AD6E ad6e at arrl.net
Big Island: Lloyd KH6LC kh6lc at hotmail.com

Please send questions to me directly: ad6e at arrl.net

Aloha,
Alan AD6E / KH6TU
