Special Event Celebrates Father of Wireless Communication, Jagadish Chandra Bose

October 30, 2024Special event station AU2JCB will be paying homage to the Indian scientist Jagadish Chandra Bose November 15 through December 16 2024.

Considered the “Father of Wireless Communication,” Bose was a pioneer in microwave optics, and demonstrated wireless communication as early as 1895.

The special event will operate on the following modes and frequencies:

• 20M: 14210, 14250, 14310

• 80M: 3710

Ham’s Radio Podcast Broadcasts Each Sunday

October 28, 2024Ham’s Radio is a weekly radio broadcast and podcast that highlights ham radio stories from across the globe. The radio broadcasts originate from Radio Narita outside of Tokyo, Japan. 83.7 FM is a community radio station, equivalent to a low power FM station (LPFM) found in the US.

Every first Sunday features a Ham Ham English segment in which an article is discussed in English to help listeners get more familiar with the English language. The most recent episode features Keith Mowell (KE4KDY) who was in town for Ham Fair. He has experience operating from the Guantanamo Bay military base in Cuba.
